These large events post their daily, weekly, and season-long playing schedules online. Top Flight–hosted events also include the Chicago Volleyball League, President's Day, Chicago Challenge, JVA World Challenge, AAU National Championships, and Asics Jr. National Championships.

Know before you go
Facility policies & rules
Doors open
Thirty minutes before the start of the first pool play match.
Facility rules
- No coolers allowed into the facility
- Players' water & sport drinks allowed in playing areas
- Coffee, snacks, and bagged lunches are allowed
- No open container cups or glass in the gym area
- Bleacher seating available — no outside folding chairs
Important
Not allowed on the playing surface during play
- Cameras, phones, tablets, recording devices, or tripods
- Spectators, photographers, and anyone not actively playing or reffing
- Strollers, wheelchairs, or similar devices
- Player backpacks, duffle bags, or similar equipment
Everything not allowed on the playing surface is allowed on the concrete surfaces at the end of each court.
Admission
$10 for everyone 12 and older (excluding players, coaches & refs).
Special pricing of $10–$15 per person per day applies to events such as President's Day, MLK, MIVA, Championships, and Memorial Day. Cash and credit cards accepted.
Bounce house
Open most Saturdays and Sundays. $10 per person per day. A wristband requires agreeing to the waiver (also available at the pro shop). All participants jump at their own risk.
Tournament rules & format
Tournament rules
- Warmups are 2 / 4 / 4 minutes
- Top Flight provides a certified R1 for all pool play matches
- Reffing teams supply an R2, two line judges, a scorekeeper, and a libero tracker
- All playoffs use certified referees as the R1
Pool play format
All 3, 4 & 5 team pools play two sets to 25, round robin, no cap.
Playoff format
All Semi & Final matches are match play 25 / 25 / 15. Quarter-Finals are a single set to 25.
Tie breaker
Match %, Set %, Head-to-Head W/L, then Total Points in pool play.
Prizes
Prizes are awarded to the Tournament Champion.
Disclaimers
We do our best to run single-age divisions (12s, 13s, 14s, etc.); when needed, divisions combine as 12s, 13/14s, 15/16s, 17/18s.
All dates are scheduled with an 8am start, subject to change. If it changes, the start time will be 3pm and communicated immediately.

All dates are for the Top Flight Classic tournaments, held at our facility in Elgin. Any referee looking to be assigned can check the document for available dates and waves — current assignments are listed there too. To be assigned, or to remove or change an assignment, email Sean Gritzman.
